Brand Manifesto

We create alt luxury leather bags and accessories for those reading spreadsheets through black eyeliner. The ones who want to stand out yet still be taken seriously. We're not like the soulless big brand names everyone carries. We don't make plastic-coated junk that falls apart after a season.

Our pieces are refined, alternative, and made with soul by humans in a Columbus, Ohio studio. Because edge and elegance don't have to cancel each other out. Because it wasn't a phase, it's a lifelong condition. And like our bags, it's built to last.

At Seel we believe in self expression, statement pieces, head-turners, and have a flair for the dramatic. We take an unwavering stand against fast-fashion and the toll it takes on the environment and people that make. We're here to show you there is another way in ethical production using the highest quality materials we can get our hands on. True sustainability is achieved through longevity.

We don't compromise on sourcing our leather

All of our leather is produced by a few of the highest quality tanneries in the US and Italy. While most leather is tanned with harmful chemicals such as chromium, the leather we use is tanned using natural plant based agents. This process takes much more time(it's definitely worth the wait) but is not harmful to the environment or those working in the tannery. We believe sustainability is worth it.

Our products are designed, patterned, sampled, and produced by hand in a small workshop in Columbus, Ohio. We believe firmly in ethical local production where craftspeople are paid livable wages for their skills, and work in a comfortable and inspirational workshop environment.
